Directions

The closest major airport to UCLA is the Los Angeles International Airport, LAX. From there you can get to UCLA by bus, shuttle bus, car or taxi.

Driving to UCLA (from LAX)

  1. Take Century Blvd. to 405 (San Diego Freeway) North
  2. Take 405 (San Diego Freeway) to Wilshire Blvd. East
  3. Travel east three blocks to Westwood Blvd.
  4. Turn Left on Westwood Blvd.
  5. Travel five blocks to Parking & Information Kiosk

Driving to UCLA from north or south via I–405 (SAN DIEGO FREEWAY)

  • South Entrance
    1. Take 405 (San Diego Freeway) to Wilshire Blvd. East
    2. Travel east three blocks to Westwood Blvd.
    3. Turn Left on Westwood Blvd.
    4. Travel five blocks to Parking & Information Booth

From east via I–10 (SANTA MONICA FREEWAY)

  1. Take 10 (Santa Monica Freeway) to 405 (San Diego Freeway) North
  2. Take 405 (San Diego Freeway) to Wilshire Blvd. East
  3. Travel east three blocks to Westwood Blvd.
  4. Turn Left on Westwood Blvd.
  5. Travel five blocks to Parking & Information Kiosk

Parking Options on Campus

  2. Daily Permits
  3. Visitors may purchase all–day (daily) parking permits at an Information & Parking Booth on campus. Parking attendants will issue you a parking permit and direct you to an appropriate parking lot or structure. They can also provide directions to campus attractions and answer any questions you may have.

Directions above send you to the main parking kiosk where attendants can direct you to visitor parking (you can either get a day permit at the kiosk or purchase a parking permit through a pay station in one of the visitor lots).

The following lots are the closest to the GSEIS building (Thurs.) and Moore Hall (Fri./Sat.) respectively:

  • Thursday: Parking Lot 5
  • Friday/Saturday: Parking Lot 2

*If either lot is full, Parking Lot 4 should have spots available

Getting to UCLA by public transportation

  1. Metro Lines 2, 302 and 761 serve campus, or transfer from other Metro Bus lines.
  2. Santa Monica Big Blue Bus: Lines 1, 2, 3, 8 and 12 bring you to campus, or transfer from other lines.
  3. Culver City Bus: Line 6 brings you directly to campus, or transfer from Lines 1–5. You can also take line 6 all the way from the airport to UCLA (the trip might take up to 1–1.5 hours).

Getting from LAX to UCLA by shuttle bus

  1. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) in cooperation with UCLA Transportation provides hourly bus service between Westwood and LAX. The FlyAway features: Non–stop service, one–way or round–trip options, free Wi–Fi service. It is $10 one–way, debit or credit cards only.
  2. Other shuttle bus services (such as, Super Shuttle) are also available.

Another airport that you can fly into is Burbank Bob Hope Airport. However, it will take you about 2 hours to get to UCLA from there by public transportation. Shuttle bus service is also limited.
